Program

Our program offers a child centered approach providing opportunities to learn through play for children ages 5-12.

Children naturally love to play. The enjoyment and learning that takes place through their play experience is essential to their growth and development. It is through play that children learn about themselves and the world around them. Therefore the opportunity for play is a key aspect of the Out of School Care Program. Our program builds on this natural approach to learning. There will also be opportunities for quiet time and homework.

Subsidy

Working parents may qualify for Government Subsidy if your household income is less than $75,000.

Nutrition

The Centre will provide one nutritious snack after school, and two nutritious snacks and full days (one in the morning and one in the afternoon, lunch provided by parents). Parents will provide all other food the child requires during the day. In case of allergies and special diets, the parent must inform the staff of all necessary information. Parents will provide all food for special dietary requirements.

Health & Safety

Communicable diseases such as colds, flu, vomiting or diarrhea can spread quickly in group care. If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home. If your child becomes ill during the day, you will be notified to come and pick up your child. This is done in the best interest of your child and the other children in care. Only prescribed medication with signed parental consent will be administered.

An emergency evacuation plan is in place fore the Centre and is posted by the door, please become familiar with it.

Cost of Care

$8/hour, minimum 1 hour

$40 for 5-9hr day

Mornings $10/hour per child

Care is available before school, after school and on PD days

Late Fees

Children must be picked up at the arranged time. In case of emergency, it is the parent responsibility to call the center and inform them of the situation. If the parent fails to call, they will be charged $5 for every 15 minutes of portion thereof after the arranged pick up time.
