Early Learning Tree - Day Care & Pre-School
Program
The staff are responsible to plan activities and routines that reflect the ages and needs of the children in care. Activities will be planned to meet the developmental needs of all children to enhance their growth socially, physically, intellectually, creatively and emotionally. Toys, equipment and materials required to present activities are provided at the Centre. Staff will ensure that these items are safe and suitable for the children using them. Days will be organized to include routines and activities with the day being flexible and sensitive enough to allow time for individual needs. While the expectation is that activities be planned and implemented, it is essential that staff be sensitive to the children in care and flexible enough to adapt the daily routine.
Health & Safety
Communicable diseases such as colds, flu, vomiting or diarrhea can spread quickly in group care. If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home. If your child becomes ill during the day, you will be notified to come and pick up your child. This is done in the best interest of your child and the other children in care. Only prescribed medication with signed parental consent will be administered.
An emergency evacuation plan is in place fore the Centre and is posted by the door, please become familiar with it.
